Seedlip was founded in the UK in 2013 by Ben Branson, who grew tired of choosing between sugary sodas and alcohol at the bar and set out to create something more considered. Drawing on his family's three-hundred-year farming history and inspiration from a 1651 text on herbal distillation, Branson spent years refining a process that treats non-alcoholic spirits with the same seriousness as a classic distillery, and Seedlip has since become the top-selling non-alcoholic spirits brand in the United States.

Spice 94 takes its name from 1494, the year European explorers first encountered allspice in Jamaica, and the spirit is built around that Jamaican allspice alongside cardamom, grapefruit peel, lemon peel, American oak, and cascarilla bark. Each botanical is macerated for six weeks, then distilled separately in copper pot stills and filtered before the individual distillates are blended together and bottled. The finished spirit is made in the UK and contains no alcohol, sugar, or calories.

The nose opens with rich mixed spice, led by clove and nutmeg, layered over dried citrus that gives it real weight. On the palate, allspice and clove sit at the core, wrapped in warming nutmeg and orange peel, with citrus filling in around the edges rather than dominating. The finish runs short but genuinely spicy, with citrus lingering after. It stands in well for gin in a G&T, though the flavor profile leans warm and clove-forward rather than piney.
