St Agrestis Phony White Negroni Non Alcoholic Cocktail 2pk
St. Agrestis operates out of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where founders Louis and Matt Catizone built the distillery around their Italian-American heritage, later bringing on spirits expert Steven DeAngelo. What started as New York City's first amaro producer has grown into a portfolio spanning both traditional Italian liqueurs and a widely awarded lineup of non-alcoholic aperitivos, all made using a proprietary process rather than a dealcoholized base spirit.
The Phony White Negroni builds on the original Phony Negroni recipe, using the same thirty raw, organic, non-GMO botanicals sourced across five continents, but leans harder into gentian root and citrus peel while dialing back the deeper bitter notes. Juniper and quinine appear in trace amounts for structure, and the liquid is charcoal filtered before bottling, which strips away color and leaves a nearly clear, Champagne-hued finish. Organic cane sugar rounds out the recipe, and light carbonation is added to help replicate the mouthfeel of a proper cocktail.
Bright citrus and alpine herb aromas lead on the nose, backed by earthy gentian root. The palate brings juicy citrus and a gentle sweetness up front, giving way to a bitter, botanical backbone that stays lively rather than heavy. A delicate fizz carries the flavors through to a crisp, clean finish with lingering bitterness. Serve chilled, straight from the bottle or over ice with a lemon twist.
