Tesseron Composition Cognac 750ml
For nearly a century, Tesseron made some of the finest Cognac in France — and sold all of it to other houses. Founded in 1905, the family spent generations distilling, aging, and blending extraordinary eaux-de-vie, then quietly selling their reserves to the great Cognac négociants who bottled it under their own famous names. The Wine Country It wasn't until 2003 that Tesseron stopped selling in bulk and began bottling under their own label — and the Cognac world took notice immediately.
The Composition is their most accessible expression and their first departure from XO-and-above territory. A blend of 4 to 10-year-old Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie — sourced from both Grande and Petite Champagne, the two premier crus of the region T it carries the house's DNA of elegance and restraint at a fraction of the price of their legendary Lot bottlings. Rich butterscotch leads the palate, giving way to juicy red apple and light baking spices, with delicate honeydew fruit lingering alongside the apple notes on the finish. Spice, stewed fruit, and floral notes complete a profile that is equally at home sipped neat or shaking up a world-class Cognac cocktail.
This is an excellent sipping Cognac that will stand up to the most rigorous connoisseur taste test — from a house that spent a hundred years perfecting their craft before anyone outside France knew their name.
