Tesseron X.O. Lot 76 Cognac 750ml

Tesseron traces its cognac heritage to 1905 and remains a family-run house based in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente, a town between Cognac and Angoulême. Now guided by four generations of the Tesseron family, the house has built its reputation on rare, well-aged reserves housed in its own paradis cellar, working exclusively in XO territory and beyond. The Tesserons are also known in the wine world as owners of Château Pontet-Canet, a classified Pauillac estate in Bordeaux.

Lot 76 is made entirely from Grande Champagne, the most prized premier cru in the Cognac region, prized for its chalky, limestone-rich soil and maritime climate. Its name reflects the average distillation year of the oldest eaux-de-vie in the blend, drawn from reserve stocks distilled from Ugni Blanc grapes and aged for more than a generation in Limousin oak. The result is a carefully assembled blend that draws on decades of cellar inventory rather than a single vintage.

Lot 76 pours pale gold with bright clarity and opens with caramelized peach, honey, and candied fruit on the nose, joined by hints of leather and violet. The palate is generous and spicy, layering almond, cinnamon, and raisin over a rounded, harmonious structure, finishing long and warm.
