The Dimple Pinch 15 yr Blended Whiskey 750ml

The Haig family holds a distilling lineage stretching back to 1627, making them one of the oldest names in Scotch whisky production, though it was John Haig himself who first distilled the whisky that would become Dimple in 1890. Three years later, the brand introduced its distinctive dimpled bottle, which became the world's second registered trademark bottle design, following only Coca-Cola's. Today the whisky is produced by Diageo at the Cameronbridge distillery in Scotland, carrying on a blending tradition that in the United States is marketed as Dimple Pinch.

This 15 Year blend combines more than thirty separate malt and grain whiskies, with Glenkinchie, a lowland malt, and Linkwood featuring prominently alongside contributions from other distilleries further north. Every component in the blend is aged a minimum of fifteen years, with maturation taking place in a mix of used bourbon casks sourced from Kentucky and sherry casks, before an extended marrying period brings the components together. The finished whisky is bottled at 40 percent ABV, or 80 proof.

The nose offers honey, caramel, and dried fruit like figs and dates, with a subtle touch of vanilla and oak spice underneath. On the palate, the whisky turns creamy and lightly smoky, showing toffee, roasted almond, and sweet barley alongside a gentle spice note. The finish runs long, closing on oak and a faint trace of dried fruit, with a soft, mellow warmth that carries through to the end.
