Torres 10 yr Imperial Gran Reserva Brandy 750ml
The House of Torres traces back to 1870, when Jaime Torres Vendrell founded the family firm in Penedès, though the Torres family had already been growing grapes there since the eighteenth century. Juan Torres Casals began distilling brandy from the estate's finest white wines in 1928, and Miguel Torres Carbó later introduced this flagship expression in 1946. Today the winery remains one of Catalonia's leading producers, known equally for its brandies and its table wines.
Torres 10 is made from Parellada and Ugni Blanc grapes fermented into wine, then distilled into holandas, the base spirit used for Spanish brandy production. Aging takes place in the family's cellars in American oak barrels arranged in a traditional solera system, where younger brandy is gradually blended with older reserves across multiple tiers of casks, building depth and consistency over roughly a decade of maturation.
The result is a dark topaz brandy with golden highlights, offering an intense bouquet of cinnamon, vanilla, and dried fruit such as dates, layered with toasted hazelnut and warm oak. The palate is silky and full bodied, gaining firm structure from the wood, and closes on a long, lingering finish.
