Trimbach Poire William (Pear) Brandy 750ml
Maison Trimbach was founded in 1626 in Riquewihr, Alsace, and across twelve generations the family has become one of the region's most celebrated winemaking houses, especially prized for its dry Rieslings. Now headquartered in Ribeauvillé, the family also turns its winemaking discipline toward a small collection of fruit eaux-de-vie, applying the same exacting selection standards to fruit that it does to grapes.
This Poire William is distilled from ripe Williams pears sourced in Alsace, chosen and handled with the same care the house applies to its wine harvests. As with Trimbach's other eaux-de-vie, fermentation is closely controlled before the fruit is run through copper alembic stills, with only the heart of the distillation retained to capture the truest pear character while the coarser head and tail are discarded. The spirit then rests briefly before bottling clear, without sweetening or added flavor, preserving the pear's natural aromatic intensity.
The nose offers lush, ripe pear layered with warm cinnamon and cardamom spice, while the palate is crisp and clean, delivering pure pear flavor that carries all the way through a long finish. It is best served well chilled, straight from the refrigerator or freezer, to sharpen its bright fruit character.
