A Journey Through Greece with Sotiris Bafitis

Saturday, July 11th | 1:00-4:00 pm
Join us this Saturday afternoon for a complimentary wine tasting featuring six standout bottles from Rodopi Selections, presented by our old friend and maven of all things Greek, Sotiris Bafitis. This is a rare chance to taste your way across Greece's islands and mainland, from the central mountains of the Peloponnese to the co-op vineyards of Paros, while hearing the stories behind each bottle straight from the source.
The Lineup
🍇 2024 Orealios Gaea, Robola of Cephalonia "San Gerasimo" · $18.99
A crisp, mineral-driven white made from Robola, the signature grape of the island of Cephalonia. Produced by a longstanding island co-op, it's the kind of bright, food-friendly white that makes you want to book a ferry to the Ionian.
🥂 2025 Panas, Assyrtiko, Peloponnese · $18.99
Assyrtiko grown outside its Santorini homeland, in the Peloponnese. It's a chance to taste how this famous grape expresses itself in a different corner of Greece. Zesty, mineral, and refreshing.
🍇 2024 Ktima Mitravelas, "Emigré" White · $21.99
A beautiful story in a glass: Assyrtiko, the great white grape of Santorini, transplanted to the vineyards of Nemea and given a short stint in barrel. The result is a white with more texture and depth than a typical Assyrtiko.
🌸 2024 Paros Farming Community, "Seiradi" Rosé · $23.99
A pale, savory rosé from a nearly century-old agricultural cooperative on the Cycladic island of Paros. Grown by small farming families and rooted in tradition, it's a rosé with real sense of place.
🍷 2025 Panas, Agiorgitiko, Peloponnese · $18.99
A juicy, approachable red built from Agiorgitiko, sometimes called the "Blood of Hercules," grown in the Peloponnese. Soft tannins and ripe red fruit make this an easy, versatile pour.
🍷 2022 Paros Farming Community, "Seiradi" Red Cuvée "Topos" · $29.99
The red flagship from the same Paros cooperative, built for a bit more structure and aging. A wine that speaks to the island's small-scale farming heritage, bottled with ambition.
About Rodopi Selections
Rodopi Selections is dedicated to bringing lesser-known, family-run, and cooperative Greek producers to American tables. These are wines chosen not for scale, but for character and a genuine connection to the land they come from.
We'll see you at the tasting!
