Two stars from St. Julien at very sharp pricing!

Last week we were excited to host an after hours tasting event here at the shop. With an incredible lineup of “big hitter” Bordeaux everyone was very happy to say the least!  Two wines really started to gather the most attention by the end of the night however. These two “super seconds” from St. Julien were drinking like first growths and was really a 50/50 split as to the preferred wine.

We are excited to offer both at some of the lowest pricing in the USA. These are both going to easily be 20 year wines and are terrific examples of what both of these beloved Chateaus can do.  Since you asked, I really enjoyed both wines quite a bit. I can’t honestly say I preferred one over the other. The Las Cases showed a bit more Pauillac style -with that classic note of cedar on the nose and the structure and pedigree you always expect from LLC. Ducru B was more exotic- with amazing texture and a finish that lasted quite some time. You certainly can’t go wrong owning either of these beauties!
