Ross Cobb and his family farm forty acres on a remote ridgeline west of Occidental, stewarding the Coastlands Vineyard legacy with organic and regenerative practices and a hands-on, mailing-list–driven approach rather than a large commercial label. This appellation-level bottling draws on four vineyards—Abigail's, Emmaline Ann, Rice-Spivak, and Mes Filles—blending a clonal mix of Calera, Swan, Martini, and Pommard selections. The wine was fermented with 50 percent whole clusters using native yeast and bottled unfiltered to preserve its cool-climate essence. Production is intentionally small, with only 595 cases made.
