2024 Aubert - Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast Park Avenue Estate (750ml) [PRE ARRIVAL]
Producer
Park Avenue Estate is one of the newest additions to Mark Aubert's portfolio, first released as a standalone bottling only in 2023. The parcel sits in Sebastopol and was planted using Calera cuttings sourced from the estate's own UV vineyard, tying it directly to the winemaking lineage Aubert has built since founding the winery with his wife Teresa in the late 1990s. Despite its youth, the site has quickly established itself as one of the more compelling names in the Aubert lineup.
Growing and Production
The Park Avenue vines benefit from the same rigorous, low intervention philosophy applied across all of Aubert's estate holdings, with careful farming aimed at coaxing intensity and site expression rather than sheer volume from the fruit. As with the rest of the range, fermentation relies on native yeast and gentle handling in the cellar, letting the particular character of this Sebastopol parcel come through with clarity. The site has quickly shown a depth and structure that rivals some of Aubert's longer established vineyards.
Tasting Notes
The 2024 vintage is deep ruby purple in color, opening with a powerful mix of boysenberry, black cherry cordial, and blackberry, layered with resinous earth, sage, and crushed violets. Ripe, well integrated tannins give the wine real backbone, with a broad, deep profile that suggests strong aging potential. It pairs well with braised short ribs, roasted duck, or a rich mushroom based side dish.
