2023 Dio Fili - Xinomavro-Moschomavro Siatista Rose

750ml | SKU 97764 | 12 Available

"A blend of Xinomavro and Moschomavro and aged in stainless steel, this rose is bold in color, smell and palate. Deep pinkish red in color, the nose explodes with rich ripe red berries, crisp stone fruit and hints of white pepper and minerality. Floral, spicy and exotic, the palate is medium to full bodied, drinking like a clean light red wine. Ripe raspberries and wild strawberries roll in the mid palate creating a point of sweetness, following with a briny, vibrant mineral driven finish." - Winery notes

2023 Disznoko - Furmint Tokaji Dry

750ml | SKU 98401 | 23 Available

Furmint is the grape used to produce Hungary’s renowned sweet wine, Tokaji. When vinified dry, however, Furmint is capable of producing some very compelling white wine. This wine exhibits a bouquet of white flowers, grapefruit and pears. A refreshing texture gives way to expressive fruit on the palate and a lingering mineral finish. It will pair well with shellfish, white fishes, salads and picnic foods, but it also possesses the weight and profile to match with white meats and creamy pasta dishes as well. - Importer notes

2020 Domaine Brana Tannat Irouleguy Ohitza

750ml | SKU 93129 | Available

The Irouleguy Rouge “Ohitza” cuvée is typically made from 50% Tannat and 50% Cabernet Franc. The parcels are from sandstone soils at mid-elevation. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with a maceration of around seventeen days. The wine is aged 70% in barrels of 3/4/5 years and 30% in cement tanks. Every three months the wine is racked and assembled and then redivided among the barrels and tanks. After a year, a final assemblage is made which then continues to mature in barrel and tank until bottling in June, eighteen months after harvest. Ohitza is the basque word for tradition.

2021 Domaine d'Aupilhac - Languedoc-Montpeyroux Lou Maset

750ml | SKU 95854 | Available

"...an under-the-radar favorite among KLWM staff but also was named winemaker of the year by multiple French magazines in recent years. So it follows that such a talented vigneron is able to find finesse where many others find power.
Sylvain Fadat of Domaine d’Aupilhac does so by blending organically grown Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah, and a splash of Alicante Bouchet, and aging half the blend in foudre and the other half in stainless steel for six months. He uses a light vinification and these aging vessels to preserve fresh, juicy fruit characteristics without extracting too much tannic structure. The result is simultaneously elegant and full of the aromas and flavors we associate with this slice of France..."

2020 Domaine de Fontsainte - Corbieres Demoiselle

750ml | SKU 95371 | Available

"...Hailing from the rugged and windswept hills of Corbières, which teem with garrigue and olive groves, La Demoiselle delivers a glorious taste of the South. Made mostly from the Languedoc’s great red grape, Carignan, from vines planted as far back as 1904, this rouge achieves that rare feat of delivering class, charm, and complexity whether you open it right after release or twenty years later, as a magnificently fresh and silky bottle from the 2001 vintage proved last week..."

2022 Domaine de la Pepiere - Muscadet Sur Lie La Pepie

750ml | SKU 96655 | 43 Available

In 2016, Pépière's classic, earliest-release bottling saw an addition to the label, the "La Pépie" moniker, because of the necessity of adding non-estate fruit to the production (Pépière had 85% of their own crop devastated in 2016 due to mildew). It marks the first time the estate has purchased fruit.

It comes from neighboring parcels that match their terroirs and work philosophy. The wine is a combination of said purchased fruit and estate fruit, 50% of which comes from vineyards that could technically produce cru bottlings.

2022 Domaine de l'Aumonier - Touraine Sauvignon Blanc

750ml | SKU 98012 | 12 Available

This comes from vines averaging 20 years old growing in the communes of Couffy, Seigy and Chateauvieux just south of the Cher River, a major tributary of the Loire. The Loire Valley is an open window to the Atlantic, blessing the region with clement weather. L’Aumonier’s soils range from tufa hillsides rich in clay and limestone to flatter sites of flint and clay, sand and clay, and silt and clay. Ferments are typically spontaneous (the occasional difficult tank may get a dose of neutral yeast) and the wine is raised in tank. There's no fining during élevage and only a light filtration at bottling. Production averages 8,500 cases.
