2010 was a great vintage in Rioja in general and seems to be exceptional here, with a 2010 Viña Ardanza Selecci?n Especial (what used to be Reserva Especial) that can challenge any of the recent vintages and hopefully can develop in bottle to reach...
The 2016 Fombrauge has come together beautifully during its aging and is now a much more refined wine than it was from barrel. The 2016 is simply impeccable, not to mention incredibly delicious.
Extremely complex and intense aromas of sliced meat, flowers and ripe fruit, but perfumed at the same time. Full-bodied, very chewy and powerful with a long and flavorful finish.
DESCRIPTION: Claré JC is a unique wine, our take on the forgotten days ofNebbiolo, when it was enjoyed in its lighter and fresher garment. The winemakingprotocol follows the 1606 writings of G.B. Croce, jeweler of the House of Savoia:the wine is bottled soon after the fermentation so as to retain a gentle off-dryfinish and a lovely energy.
VARIETY: 100% Nebbiolo.
VINEYARD AND TERROIR: Fruit from our young Nebbiolo vineyards.
