The two 2018 barrels samples are both brilliant as well. The 2018 Gigondas Tradition offers exotic notes of red plums, ripe strawberries, peppery garrigue, and tons of floral notes as well as a medium-bodied, balanced, sweetly fruited style on the palate.
Almost as good as the Vieilles Vignes from foudre, the 2016 Vacqueyras Cuvee Classique is just marginally less concentrated and deep. It's medium to full-bodied, with supple tannins and a fresh, zesty feel on the long finish.
