SalvaVida is the first and original beer from Honduras. Since 1916, SalvaVida has been uniting Hondurans to celebrate and enjoy themselves to the fullest in true Honduran style. It has a perfectly balanced flavor—not too sweet or too bitter—that everyone can enjoy.

SalvaVida was born in La Ceiba in 1916 during the banana boom when two Italian immigrant brothers, Salvatore and Vicente D'Antoni, decided to brew a beer that would unite the local community. SalvaVida grew rapidly along the Caribbean coast before expanding nationwide and becoming "The Beer of Honduras."

There are several myths about how the name SalvaVida came to be. One story is that the name comes from a life preserver that fell on the head of one of the founders when he was thinking of a name for his new beer. Another suggests that SalvaVida is a play on the first letters of the brothers' names: Salvatore and Vicente D'Antoni.
