The boat has finally landed... New arrivals from Burgundy!
We are more than excited to let you know that our French container has finally made it in (we have another right behind it as well). We have quite a few new wines in stock-way too many to list at once so we thought we’d highlight some exceptional Burgs that Joe is very excited about. Keep an eye out for Bordeaux and Rhone next week as we’ve got some super cool stuff that’s just come in. Or hunt around on the website OR just email me pbernstein@bassins.com
In addition to these features wines check out some red hot merchandise from this great list of vignerons:

This is from the excellent Pargues vineyard, vinified and aged in stainless steel. Pale color. The bouquet has a Chablisian crispness but also the juiciness of this 2022 vintage. Crisply concentrated on the palate.
The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Village includes around 40% whole bunches
and delivers crisp black fruit laced with graphite and green bell pepper.
The palate is medium-bodied with a charcoal-tinged entry. The oak and
whole bunches are more prominent in this cu...
The 2022 Bourgogne Blanc is superb. It offers up hints of apricot,
baked apple tart, spice, vanillin and tangerine oil. Rich, dense and
creamy, the Bourgogne Blanc hugely overdelivers. Henri Boillot offers a
lot of wine here. - Antonio Galloni
The 2022 Puligny Montrachet Village has quite a potent petrichor scent
on the nose—wet pavement. The palate is well balanced and crisp,
quite taut and fresh, with a lick of salinity on the restrained finish. It
doesn't try anything over-ambitious and w...
The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Village, which comes from purchased
fruit and matured in 20% new oak, has a commendable presence on
the nose: light tropical-tinged scents and traces of wet limestone
coming through with aeration. The palate is well-balanced...
This small parcel, known as a ‘clos’, formerly belonged to the Kings of France. It was considered one of the appellation’s best parcels and was purchased by the Faiveley family in 1971. This wine could be compared to a Côte de Nuits village in terms of its delicate tannins and length on the palate.
WINERY: Wine runs deep in the Faiveley family’s blood, as they have been deeply rooted in Bourgogne, its history, and its culture for almost two centuries now. Their values have remained unchanged over the last seven generations and are based on a deep attachment to the Bourgogne region, an instinctive passion for the terroirs, and an innate respect for man and his work. Today they are one of the largest owners in Burgundy, with holdings spreading from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte Chalonnaise, featuring polished, collectible reds and whites with exceptionally high ratings.
WINE: Montagny is the most southern of the Côte Chalonnaise villages and lies at the border of the Mâconnais. The chardonnay vines thrive in this rugged terrain. The vines face east/south-east and are planted on slopes that reach as high as 400 meters above sea level.

WINE This village lies between Meursault and Chassagne Montrachet and offers exceptional terroirs in which the Chardonnay grape variety thrives. Vines have been cultivated here since the 12th century although it was not until 1879 that Puligny added its name to that of the more reputed Grand Cru: Montrachet.
This too is beautifully expressive and perfumed with its airy and cool yet entirely ripe nose that is comprised of subtle wood surrounding the very pinot-like notes of red raspberry and cherry along with a hint of forest floor character. The mouthfeel is...
Sylvain Pataille is known for his organic and biodynamic farming practices, focusing on minimal intervention in the winemaking process. This means the wine is typically made with very few added sulfites, and the goal is to showcase the true nature of the fruit and terroir.
Pataille often uses traditional methods, with fermentation in whole clusters and aging in French oak barrels (though usually with a lighter touch on the oak to preserve the purity of the fruit).
