Made by mezcalero Aquilino García López in Oaxaca, Mezcal Vago Elote takes two Mexican staple products: corn and agave. It is produced from Espadin agave, and the 100% agave spirit is then infused with toasted corn. Traditionally, this type of mezcal would have only been made for special occasions. It contains all the hallmark smoky notes with a subtle toasted note from the corn.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Toasted wood and an oily nuttiness, sweet brown sugar notes alongside underripe banana and papaya surrounded by swirls of smoke, with a refreshing finish of mint leaves and tropical fruit.
