The Domaine Thierry Drouin is located in the magnificent Pouilly-Fuissé winegrowing area, between the Roche de Vergisson and the Roche de Solutré-Pouilly, to the south of Bourgogne. The estate vinifies the Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Mâcon appellations, three fine Bourgogne AOC wines, and matures them in oak barrels. In 2012 Charles joined his father on the estate after finishing his studies. The estate has a wide range of plots and Climats, giving full expression to the Chardonnay grapes it grows in the clay and limestone soil, producing wines which are rich and varied. The Domaine Thierry Drouin works meticulously in the vineyard and the cellar, labouring the soil and crafting the wine to bring out the very best of its Terroir. Thanks to their experience and expertise developed over years of hard work, Charles and Thierry produce authentic and generous cuvées for your enjoyment.Their wines are regularly featured in specialist magazines such as Guide Hachette, Revue du Vin de France, Bourgogne Aujourd’hui, etc.

With Diatom, Winemaker Greg Brewer seeks to capture Chardonnay in its most pure and unadulterated state. Diatom is named for diatomaceous earth, which is a plankton fossil found in the oceanic landscape of Santa Barbara County.
"Diatom is motivated by the pursuit of subtraction and refinement. It is the polishing of a grain of rice until one has reached its ultimate inner core. Our Sta. Rita Hills marine landscape is stark and so are the wines of its provenance. We strive for a recognition of place with as little disturbance, distraction or interference as possible. The resulting wines have a sense of transparency and a purity of intent and purpose." Greg Brewer Winemaker
Very floral and bright with dried tropical fruits and citrus. Pear blossom as well. Medium-bodied with pretty fruit, creamy texture and a delicious finish. Drink now.
This well-made, robust blend expresses intense layers of roasted plums and beef jerky, finishing with subtle garrigue notes, spice and firm bitter tannins. It's round and rich, yet quite elegant.
