Pouring a deeper ruby/magenta color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is ripe and layered in the glass, with a generous, inviting, pure perfume of black cherries, cola, sweet baking spice, and forest floor. Medium-bodied, it has a lot of charm and...
The 2024 Otira Glacial Stones Sauvignon Blanc is just such a fantastic wine. I love it every year. Mineral tension, poise and elongated shape are the hallmarks of this wine. The wine has a smell of fresh sheets, crisp, crushed shells, white spice and ocea...
The 2023 Pinot Noir Reserve is perfumed with violets, black raspberries, dark stones, and hints of lavender. Medium-bodied, it delivers fantastic intensity and energy, ripe tannins, and great definition, with a dark, stony mouthfeel. This wine is a banana...
The outstanding (and hard to find!) second wine of Larcis Ducasse.
The 2021 Pinot Noir Momtazi Vineyard shows the dark nature of the variety, mixing depths of crushed blackberry with hints of pine, rosemary and dusty earth. This is model of elegance on the palate, velvety in texture yet lifted in feel, with silken wil...
We tasted this a few months ago with owner Mark Vlossak and it was an instant staff favorite. I'm not sure why Pinot Blanc doesn't get more "love" as it's very food friendly and usually nicely priced. Mark started making this wine back in 1997. He's a true pioneer on the Oregon wine scene, and this comes from his most famous vineyard: Freedom Hill, which of course also produces world class Pinot Noir. Medium weight, with great texture and more aromatics than your usual Pinot Blanc, this is a an example of great vineyard practice and winemaking.
