From ungrafted vines planted in the 1930s, the single-plot 2019 Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben #8 Gisela is highly refined and delicate on the pure and flinty nose that displays very fine slate aromas and delicate fruit. Generously...

The 2023er Trarbacher Schlossberg Riesling Kabinett was made from fruit harvested at approx. 85° Oechsle and was fermented down to fruity- styled levels of residual sugar (44 g/l). It offers a superbly aromatic and attractive nose of almond cream, violet, blueberry, minty spices, and fine herbs. The wine proves nicely playful and juicy on the linear and light-weight palate. It leaves a straightforward and animating feel of refreshing fruits and citrusy elements in the nicely long and mouthwatering finish. This light, already more off-dry tasting than fully fruity, Kabinett is delicious in a fresh and direct way.

This could be one of the most salty and incisive dry Rieslings of the vintage. This is a village-level wine for the ages, Bone dry at just 10% alcohol and 1g of Residual Sugar

The 2022er Enkircher Steffensberg Im Löwenbaum Riesling Spätlese was made from fruit harvested at 87° Oechsle on old vines still trained on single pole in this prime Lieu-Dit at the heart of the Steffensberg and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (62 g/l). The wine offers a still rather backward nose made of pear, vineyard peach, apricot, cream, and spices. The wine develops the characteristic “orange-tangerine” touch on the palate which adds depth to the creamy and nicely zesty experience. The overall balance is one of subtle elegance and depth with a nice kick of zest to lift the flavors in the finish.
