BHAKTA 50 is a deeply aged blend of 8 rare Armagnac vintages, dated between 1868-1970 and finished in Islay whisky casks. The youngest spirit in the bottle is 50 years old, and the oldest reaches 152 years. It’s older than any whiskey on the market today; there’s simply nothing like BHAKTA 50 in the spirits industry. Given BHAKTA’s rarity and exquisite taste, stocks are incredibly limited. There are only 38 barrels of this line in existence.

Refined and expressive nose which opens with notes of white flowers, honey, blond tobacco and spices. With some aeration, subtle notes of rancio and leather appear. The palate opens with silky tannins that develop to reveal candied fruits and a beautiful freshness perfectly integrated with the alcohol. A remarkably long finish with a delicate balance of licorice and light smokiness. A spirit that has reach its apogee!

It was at his time that Eau de vie officially became Know as Armagnac and acquired the appellation 'Jaune d'Or'. L'Authentique is an assemblage of very old Armagnacs born of the selection of different barrels representing, in Delord's minds, the most emblematic vintages of the house. An Armagnac with great complexity marrying notes of vanilla, wood, and roasted coffee beans with aromas of prunes, walnuts, and dried fruit. A Bas Armagnac with true Gascon character! The Armagnac in Delord Authentique spent an average of 30 years in oak barrels, first in heavily-charred new French oak, before finishing in older barrels.
