There is a little more emphasis on the Cabernet Franc this year - 36% of the blend. It is quintessential Figeac on the nose, that is to say that the enticing m?lange of Merlot and Cabernet together creates more than a sum of their parts. Here the blackberry, crushed stone and graphite elements are seamlessly enmeshed with the more ravishing red fruit aspects delivered by the ripe Merlot. It is exquisitely defined. The palate is medium-bodied. First impressions are of a Figeac that leans more to the Cabernet/Left Bank side of its personality, quite structured with black fruit dominating, saline and marine-influenced. The Merlot really comes through towards the close delivering that almost clinical mineral-driven finish. Winemaker Frederic Faye and his team have conjured a deeply impressive, intellectual Figeac this years, amongst the canon of greats that stretch back to the 1940.","Blurb3":null,"ItemNumber":83410,"LimitedToStores":false,"Score1":"(98-100)","Score2":"99","Score3":null,"SourceId1":1,"SourceId2":3,"SourceId3":0,"Id":25261},"BlurbSource":{"Name":"Wine Advocate","Abbreviation":"WA","Id":1},"CategoryId":1,"Producer":"Chateau Figeac","Id":180634,"CustomProperties":{}},{"Name":"2010 Chateau Figeac - St. Emilion","ShortDescription":null,"FullDescription":null,"SeName":"2010-chateau-figeac-st-emilion-pre-arrival","StockQuantity":10,"Sku":"86089","BottleSize":"750ml","ProductType":5,"MarkAsNew":false,"ProductPrice":{"OldPrice":null,"OldPriceValue":null,"Price":"$315.00","PriceValue":315.0000,"BasePricePAngV":null,"BasePricePAngVValue":null,"DisableBuyButton":false,"DisableWishlistButton":false,"DisableAddToCompareListButton":true,"AvailableForPreOrder":false,"PreOrderAvailabilityStartDateTimeUtc":null,"IsRental":false,"ForceRedirectionAfterAddingToCart":false,"DisplayTaxShippingInfo":false,"CustomProperties":{}},"DefaultPictureModel":{"ImageUrl":"https://www.bassins.com/images/thumbs/008/0085608_2010-chateau-figeac-st-emilion-pre-arrival_360.png","ThumbImageUrl":null,"FullSizeImageUrl":"https://www.bassins.com/images/thumbs/008/0085608_2010-chateau-figeac-st-emilion-pre-arrival.png","Title":"Show details for 2010 Chateau Figeac - St. Emilion","AlternateText":"Picture of 2010 Chateau Figeac - St. Emilion","CustomProperties":{}},"ProductSpecificationModel":{"Groups":[],"CustomProperties":{}},"ReviewOverviewModel":{"ProductId":181232,"RatingSum":0,"TotalReviews":0,"AllowCustomerReviews":false,"CanAddNewReview":true,"CustomProperties":{}},"Blurb":{"Author1":"Lisa Perrotti-Brown","Author2":"Neal Martin","Author3":null,"Blurb1":"Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Figeac bursts from the glass with gregarious scents of baked blueberries, black cherry compote and chocolate box with hints of camphor, pencil lead and iron ore. The 2020 Corton Les Maréchaudes Grand Cru has a really lovely bouquet, well defined with vivacious red cherry, raspberry and bilberry fruit. So refined and elegant. The palate is medium-bodied with a lovely sour cherry undertow that counterbalances that r...
The 2016 Domaine de Chevalier is a thrilling wine. Dense and beautifully layered, the 2016 is also quite a bit richer than it usually is. Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics and structure pulse through the wine. It has been nothing short of magnificent on the th...
The 2019 Domaine de Chevalier is pure, silky and exceptionally beautiful. The 2019 is all in reserve today. Sweet red berry fruit, mint, spice and blood orange lend brilliance to this understated, super-classy Pessac-L?ognan red. Lifted floral aromatics a...
The 2019 Figeac is composed of 30% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon and 36% Cabernet Franc, harvested from the 13th of September to the 7th of October. The alcohol this year is 14.1% and the pH is 3.7. Steal-your-heart scents of mulberries, black raspberrie...
Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Figeac bursts from the glass with gregarious scents of baked blueberries, black cherry compote and chocolate box with hints of camphor, pencil lead and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has beautifully ripe, velvety...
This property is owned and managed by the Vauthier family of Ch. Ausone. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Fonbel, composed mainly of Merlot with splashes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Petit Verdot, is scented of warm black plums, bla...
One of the successes of the vintage, the Grand-Puy-Lacoste is fabulous. The flavors are remarkably vivid, but in the end, it is the wine's sublime balance that places it among the highlights of the vintage. Don't miss it!
The palate is quite brilliantly balanced, the tannins extremely fine and framing the slightly earthy black fruit laced with salt. To me, it is a less flamboyant and more terroir expressive Haut-Bailly that has an effortless allure and a sense of sophistic...
A blend of 50% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Haut-Brion is reticent to begin, languidly revealing crushed black cherries, ripe black plums and wild blueberries with sparks of cinnamon s...
As for the 2010 Haut-Brion, it does not have the power of Latour’s 2010 or the intense lead pencil shavings and chocolaty component of Lafite-Rothschild, but it is extraordinary, perfect wine. It has a slightly lower pH than the 2009 (3.7 versus the 2009'...
Newly-arrived Technical Director Marielle Cazaux turned out a jewel of a

The 2019 Larcis Ducasse is magnificent. Deep and beautifully layered, the 2019 offers tons of youthful resonance wrapped into a super-classic frame. There is a feeling of translucence here that is so beguiling. Sweet dark cherry, tobacco, cedar, menthol a...
Very ripe, with raisin and dried fruits on the nose. You can smell the sun-dried grapes. Full-bodied, delivering firm tannins and a very fresh palate. Long and flavorful, offering currant, berries and all sorts of dark fruits, but turns lightly earthy and...
The 2014 Léoville-Poyferré is one of the standout Left Bank wines of the
vintage. Demonstrating outstanding clarity and freshness on the nose, this
